CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) has been implemented to raise the standards, improve quality of work and most importantly reduce accidents in the construction industry. The CSCS card states the holder’s qualification and shows they have health and safety awareness. Contractors are constantly increasing demand for proof of competence, before allowing tradespeople onto their sites. Once you have passed your trade specific health and safety test. i.e. Plumbing and Gas, Working at Heights, CSCS Operative, you can apply for your CSCS card through Construction Skills.
If you are an Electrician you will need to attain an ECS Card (Electrotechnical Certification Scheme). Email us at cscs@downundertradies.com to find out more about gaining this certification.
